You’ll stay in the stylish architect-designed home of Joan McClymont and her family. Located in beautiful Belair Park, opposite West Dulwich station, the house was originally the stable block for the Georgian mansion next door. The stables have undergone extensive re-modelling and refurbishment, to extend the accommodation into a large family home with home stay accommodation.
Joan lives there with her property developer husband Trevor, three teenage children and friendly small dog, Cookie. You’ll enjoy home-cooked meals with the family, and have plenty of opportunities for conversation and learning about London life and culture – both during the day and in the evening.
Students stay in comfortable, spacious study bedrooms, set in a separate area around a tranquil courtyard. Each has its own private bathroom.
The house features state-of-the-art technology and has a large glass single storey rear extension that overlooks the garden and park. The home has a Mediterranean openness and feel, and students are able to enjoy relaxing in a large living room, dining room and lounge area. The house provides a wonderful space in which to learn English and enjoy all the comforts of home.
